ESG and IntraLogisteX 2025

Building the vital link between logistics and ESG

Sustainability, equality, and transparency are key focuses for any logistics providers. In fact, it’s crucial that fundamental environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies, such as reducing carbon footprints, promoting fairness and equality, and increasing transparency around company practices, are incorporated into any business model.

This is especially pertinent given that logistics, with fuel-intensive transportation, far-reaching networks, and collaboration with a multitude of other industries, is particularly influenced by environmental, social, and governance factors.

To support the logistics sector’s drive to meet the government’s 2050 net zero target along with environmental, social, and governance standards, ESG will be a key theme of IntraLogisteX 2025.

Many of the leading third-party logistics providers are already investing in a structured approach to their ESG strategy with a view on supply chain and performance improvements along with differentiation and competitive advantage. This goes hand in hand with wider initiatives, such as increasing brand awareness to drive recruitment in a highly competitive marketplace and demonstrating to customers the incremental improvements to its environmental impact.

Recent research has shown that 78% of corporate executives believe ESG has a noticeable impact on reputation. Positioning a company as an industry leader when it comes to reducing its carbon footprint, promoting inclusivity and diversity, and highlighting transparent working practices will increase client and consumer trust.

ESG and logistics go hand in hand and IntraLogisteX 2025 will be playing a key role in helping to build this vital link.
