David is the Head of Innovation at the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, where they are responsible for delivering the UK Government’s investment towards supporting the development, deployment and commercialisation of safe and secure CAM technologies, systems and services. David is an engineer by education and has spent 10 years working in the MOD, most recently within the cyber domain, before joining CCAV in August 2018

David's effective relationships across the CAV ecosystem, championing collaborative R&D and the solutions, capabilities and opportunities it brings has helped secure further R&D funding out to 2030, most recently launching £40m funding towards CAM service deployments and a £16m Supply Chain fund to help commercialise CAM capabilities in the UK.
