Dr Maria Pia Ciano is an assistant professor in Operations Management at the University of Nottingham, within the School of Business and the Operations Management and Information Systems Department. She holds a PhD in Management, Finance and Accounting with a focus on industrial engineering. Currently convening the Logistics and Supply Chain Management module, her research explores lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, supply chain decarbonisation and circular economy integration. Dr Ciano is passionate about bridging academic research and industrial application, fostering innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration
