As sustainability principal – GHG reduction, research and reporting lead at the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Dr Polina Webb leads research activities to deliver policy options to the government around greenhouse gas reduction. This includes conventional, low-carbon and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

Webb is the CAA’s SAF focal point: she coordinates the CAA SAF knowledge exchange group; she also supports the UK Jet Zero strategy through research into further GHG reduction through operational improvements. Previously, she has worked at the Aerospace Technology Institute and supported delivery of FlyZero. She has over 10 years’ experience working as an engineer and research and technology programme manager at Rolls-Royce and in academia.
